Art Awakenings Music

Every Thursday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:30 pm is a jam session. We play mainly generic popular music as well as originals written by various members of the group. If one person brings in a song or a poem, the group collaborates to make it into something unique.

Also on Thursdays at 12:00 noon is a group guitar lesson. This is a peer led group taught by Darlene J.. Space is limited, so check with Darlene to see if there's a seat open.

Finally, you can listen to music created by individual artists and the Art Awakenings band on the audiovisual page.

Musicians of all levels and abilities are welcome to participate in the jam session. Whether you want to sing, or play an instrument such as guitar, bass, keyboards, percussion, etc., see your case manager. He or she will hook you up.
