Empowerment and Recovery Through Creativity!

PSA Art Awakenings is a psycho social rehabilitation program for adults and youth who are challenged by serious behavioral health issues and mental illnesses. Studios throughout Arizona offer therapeutic programs in a supportive setting to promote mental health, personal growth, vocational training, and physical wellness through the performing and visual arts. Downtown Phoenix and Casa Grande Galleries, art exhibits, First Friday and other venues offer artists opportunities to sell their paintings, sculptures, mosaics, jewelry, fine art, music, poetry, and writings to benefit from art sales.

WAREHOUSE 1005

1005 N. 1st St., Phoenix, AZ 85004
Warehouse 1005 is an art place where artists take their next steps towards independence and community integration. It is the Studio for artists who are at the completion of level three in the Transformational Model, ART 301: Advanced to Self-Sufficiency. Each artist works independently in, and is responsible for, their studio space. Meet the Warehouse 1005 artist residents:

Lori

“I like to break the rules in my art; I feel that art should not be perfect: Life isn’t perfect therefore art shouldn’t be perfect. Therefore I leave imperfections in my art. I like creating art that people like to look at and enjoy.”
